Self-hosted
Your organisation's work, on your organisation's own ground.
Divan is a platform you run. It lives on your servers, signs people in through your identity provider, keeps its data in your database, and stands on open-source components you can name, inspect and back up.
What stays yours
Six things you do not hand over.
Your servers
Divan runs as containers on machines you control. Nothing in a working day needs a service of ours to be up.
Your data
Messages, files, recordings, mail, credentials and the search index are stored where you run the platform.
Your directory
People and groups come from your directory through the identity provider. Active Directory is in daily use with it.
Your models
The assistant and the agents use the model you configure: a provider's, or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint you host yourself.
Your languages
English and Persian today, left-to-right and right-to-left, the Gregorian and the Persian calendar, per person.
Your rules
Who may see what, who approves what and what the assistant may say are yours to set - and what people and agents do is recorded.
What runs where
People on top. Open ground underneath.
Divan is the layer in the middle: the apps, the studios and the rules. Under it are components with their own communities and their own documentation.

The components
What each one does here.
None of these is hidden behind a name of ours. If you already run one of them, you already know part of Divan.
- PostgreSQL
- The database: the platform's own data, and the process engine's.
- Redis
- Queues, presence and the fast things between requests.
- Meilisearch
- The search index, beside the data it indexes.
- mediasoup and coturn
- Group video: a media server and a relay, both yours.
- Flowable
- The process engine under Process Studio: BPMN, CMMN and DMN.
- Collabora Online and draw.io
- The office and diagram editors that open inside the platform.
- DuckDB
- The analytical engine under Data Studio.
- OpenBao
- The secret store behind the Vault's keeper, on a network of its own.
- Apache Guacamole
- Remote desktop and shell sessions drawn in the browser.
- Stalwart
- The mail server behind the Mail app.
- SearXNG
- Web search for the assistant, without sending your people's identity to a search engine.
- Authentik
- Sign-in with OpenID Connect, second factors, and the link to your directory.
- DBOS
- Durable execution: an agent's run or a flow goes on after a restart.
In use
Built by people who work in it every day.
Divan is in daily use at the organisation that builds it: its chat, its meetings, its courses, its own help. What this site describes is what its own team opens in the morning.
