Calendar
A calendar of the organisation's own that depends on no outside platform - and can sit beside the calendars you already have. It knows time zones, the Gregorian and the Persian calendar, and when everyone is free.
What it is for
- A calendar of your own
- Events, recurrence, organisers and delegates are kept by Divan. No outside service has to be up for a meeting to be planned.
- Find a time
- Name the people; the planner shows when they are all free, suggests times, and marks who would be outside their working hours.
- Two calendars, many zones
- A date is shown in the calendar a person reads - Gregorian or Persian - and in their own time zone.
- Meetings carry their room
- A planned meeting has its call, its people and its minutes ready when its time comes.
- Time, beside the meetings
- Switch the timesheet on in the calendar: logged time and planned blocks lie beside the day's meetings.
Getting started
- Open Calendar from the rail.
- Press New event, name it and the people.
- Use Find a time when several people must be free.
Tasks
Plan a meeting across time zones
- Start a new event and add the people.
- Open Find a time.
- Pick a suggested time: each person sees it in their own zone.
Repeat an event
- Open the event.
- Choose how it repeats.
- The days follow the event's own time zone, wherever its readers are.
Questions
Does it replace Outlook?
It does not need to. Divan's calendar works by itself, and invitations it sends are ordinary calendar invitations any mail program understands.
Which calendar do people see?
Each person chooses: Gregorian or Persian, with their own first day of the week.
